About Me and the Quarter Post Exchange

Hi, and welcome to my new home. My name is Nell and I'm coming to you from Upstate South Carolina. I live with my dog, Mister May, and my cats, Eddy, Bubba,  and Spare. No, they don't all live inside. Mister May is my companion and champion. The cats earn their keep by controlling the rodent population on the property, as we live in a rural setting. It's peaceful here and my muse and I are quite content.

I've always been a recycler and crafter but only on a level that served my personal needs. My parents grew up during the Great Depression and I came of age during the Flower Child era. I feel a great responsibility to be a good steward of the planet and my crafts have always reflected that.

A few years ago, I decided to take my crafts to another level. Retirement from the corporate world is not too far off. I didn't want to be in a position of avoiding retirement because I didn't have anything else to do and I didn't want to retire and start searching for a reason to get up in the morning.

The Quarter Post Exchange was born. Through online forums, I found new arts and crafts that I had never thought of before. I wanted to learn every new technique I found and every new medium became an addiction. I soon found that I needed to sell some of my stuff so I could make room to make more stuff.

This past Spring, I started doing the arts and crafts show circuit. ARGH! Another addiction! I found that a lot of the people I met at these shows asked for a website so they could look at my pretties at home and possibly order from there. So, here I am.

I hope you'll visit again as I will be updating often.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
